Suspension locked

i just changed my 2007 Rav4's brake pads but when i lower the car on the lift it's front suspensions are locked i dont understand why this happened?

You mean no movement up and down on the struts at all? This will point towards bad shocks. Best to double check that . 👍

The sway bar, aka anti roll bar may have bound up, undo one of the drop links and see if it drops/suspension moves, if so your roll bar bushes need replacing

only other thing it could be is the shocks have been over extended and the internals are not square in the shock body
