Petrol cap lock linked to ignition key?

Hopefully this isn't a daft question, but will the petrol cap only open with the key supplied with the car.

Or are the locks fairly universal i.e. any Aygo key will unlock a petrol cap?

If you buy a new petrol cap its will have its own key otherwise its not a locking cap.

You can order a petrol cap from Toyota to fit your existing key if thats the way you want to go but it be expensive.

The key barrel is specific to your cars keys and won't unlock with a different key.
