Hi folks I have had my 2013 rav4 2.2 auto since new and this problem reared its head a couple of years ago for the first time, when it faults car goes into limp mode and when checked with the code reader it's usually injector 3 open circuit bu sometimes it will be injector 2, clear the code and the car drives fine again for upto a month but then sometimes it will go five times in 20mins, I'm not convince its the injectors as once cleared it runs fine, I was pointing more towards the injector driver but its an expensive part and was hoping some of you folks may have got to the bottom of this issue?

Thanks in advance

I know next to nothing but I'd be inclined to check the wiring and connectors first / next. It sounds to me that a dodgy connection may be able to give rise to an intermittent open circuit fault ...

Cheers yeh I've already checked the wiring and all seems good and I'm at the point of ordering the injector driver as a last resort, @£500 it ain't cheap

Is £500 for a brand new one? At that sort of cost it might be worth looking to see if you can get one off a scrapped car to see if it sorts the problem, or maybe eBay might provide?

At least if you can determine the cause on a 2nd hand one you can always replace it later if you are still wanting a brand new one fitted.
