Electronic actuator handbrake

I have bought an actuator to replace my old one on my avensis. Does it have to be programmed in once fitted and do I have to use a main dealer?

I do believe there is a calibration procedure for the EPB, but I think any garage with a professional-grade ODB2 diagnostic tool can do it, doesn't have to be a Toyota dealer, although if you've a good relationship with them they might do it for you at a reasonable cost.

The old memory isn't as sharp as it once was, but i do remember posting something about it - if it's not on the forum it's in my archive - if It's not in either of those i can look it up.............................. Again
