Moved to the Yaris forum.

As far as I know nobody's cracked the ECU so I don't think the car can be remapped without putting in an aftermarket ECU or using a piggyback chip.

I must admit the later model Yarisesisueisases don't seem to be popular cars for performance mods; I tend to see a lot more Aygos with mods!

Welcome to the club.

If you not down on performance then maybe its time for a new or new second hand car like a Hybrid as acceleration is teriffic.

Unless you're awash with the stuff, don't bother. A Yaris on steroids (more like aspirin probably) is not going to impress anyone except the person that paid a lot of money for it.

Seriously, what are you going to do with a few bhp more on today's roads?

Why didn't you look up the 0 - 60 time before buying its well published?

It's more about personalization, making it different, maybe a bit more fun etc. which I can respect, otherwise we wouldn't have the fun, impressive and sometimes batguano crazy cars that the mod scene produces!

Alas the Yaris isn't a great platform for anything other than handling mods due to the ECU being encrypted.

I have seen turbo and supercharger kits for the Mk1 and Mk2, but virtually nothing for the Mk3 onward.

Absolutely.

In terms of bang-for-buck I think some 'decorative' mods like nifty paint or decal work, cool wheels, etc, would be appreciated by others more than a minor performance upgrade that isn't really apparent to anyone outside the dyno workshop.
