Hi,

I'm having an issue with my 2005yr, 360 000km driven, 1.4 d4d NDE120_ corolla diesel. Otherwise works like a clock, but the egr probs are giving me gray hairs.

Car gives me two codes; p0400 and p0403. The engine check light burns here and there, might light for a week, then be gone for two. Like it acts a bit randomly. Now it has been lit up for about a month or so. Every time OBD gives those two codes, and they can't be reseted.

I've cleaned the egr and it's cooler, no solution. There weren't that much of a carbon build anyway. I bought a new egr-valve, still no solution. So i guess it wasn't the egr what was faulty.

The 6 pin female connector seems to be okay, but could it still be the problem? Anyone had a similar case? Can you find new connectors somewhere? Or do I need to take the valve off once more and check the throttle valve if it has a carbon build. It has also a throttle position sensor on it but don't really think it's the problem.

And what is this sensor on the pic under the egr? Boost pressure? Can't seem to find out what it is or a spare part. Also could take it off and clean it if has carbon build up and messes the system..

Thanks,

Aleksi
