Delays seem to be inevitable with new car deliveries currently, with one person telling us just now they have been waiting more than a year so far for a Cross.  As a result, are people finding their initial part-ex price being downgraded and therefore thus increasing their "price to change"?

I found that Stoneacre Newcastle stuck with the PX amount agreed which was a “lowish” quote from December 21 to June 22 and there was no change in the price of the Y Cross Excel when it came even though there had been at least two published price rises in that time. So overall I was happy. However I guess that dealers will vary PX with time and possibly purchase price. At December 21 it did not appear that I as a customer had any sort of bargaining power on PX or price especially with such long lead times. PX values went up after Dec21 and then came down. The website would give quotes on PX and every month or so I kept tabs as to what was likely to happen when the car came.

I also got a guaranteed PX value and no price increase on my Yaris ordered in January and delivered in July
