There are many settings that can be altered to help extend battery life. Interior lights, auto folding mirrors, going home lights, smart entry indeed, but the biggest draw of energy is the brake booster and the connected services plus any additional cameras if you have some installed.

Disabling the brake booster could be a safety risk (even if you could), especially as it is brake by wire so just pressing harder wont help!!!!!

No booster, that’s not possible. Just lights, mirrors, audio signals , smart entry, every little help 😂👌

He wasn't saying to disable it, he was just saying it's one of the things that uses a lot of power, as on some cars it apparently turns on if the driver's side door is opened so the brakes are ready (One thing you don't want from brakes is a delay before they're ready! )

Anything that pumps something tends to draw a lot of current when it starts, which really beats on the poor tiny 12v Battery the cars have.

Even if you could disable it, I dread to think about the amount of warning lights and error codes the car would flash up on the dash! Anyone nearby'd think it was christmas!

It was a tongue in cheek comment, sorry. Or if the booster does fail, a brown seat moment.

You can manually with the small key built into the key fob. Oped drivers door first, then others and bonnet. If boot is required there are charging points near the engine in black plastic box , connect charger cables there start the car and then you can have boot open electronically  👍

With my Yaris Cross I have found plenty of space under the bonnet to stow my jumper pack.

I might manage a few other bits to stow there to save cluttering the boot.

ON my SAAB 99 I used to stow an Hibatchi BBQ and bag of charcoal on one side and spare holiday towels on the other 😅
