Apple CarPlay not working

Past couple of weeks when using CarPlay, it would disconnect momentarily during a journey. Tried different cables and iPhones but same thing happened. From yesterday when the phone is plugged it, it will charge the device but the prompt for CarPlay no longer appears. Anyone had similar issues?

I’m having exactly the same problem, I got in to my car while listening to a podcast and it transferred to the head unit as normal. I plugged the phone into the cable as usual but CarPlay didn’t appear just started charging phone. I’ve tried removing the phone from my head unit, then removing all trace of the head unit from the bluetooth menu and removing the Toyota head unit from the CarPlay device menu on my iPhone. When I reconnect bluetooth works fine and the phone recognises the CarPlay function of the head unit when I plug it in but no CarPlay is available on the car headunit. I’m stumped. Any advice

Sometimes the iOS updates mess with this . Nothing to do with the car or cables etc.
