First '72' reg

Not Toyota related, but just want to mentioned that I saw the first '72' reg yesterday since the September reg change.  Doubt there will be many '72' reg from now to March especially in this current climate.

Saw my first 72 reg last night, some Kia / Hyundai SUV thing parked on a drive as I was walking to the shop.

A Kona or Niro perhaps? They've been quite popular, not just the EVs but the hybrids too. Was strongly thinking about the EV one when it first came out as it was supremely efficient (One of the few EVs capable of 5 miles/kWh - Almost none of the more recent ones get even close to that...), was the only non-Tesla that could get even close to 300 miles in the real world, and got a lot of things right with the interface (e.g. paddles to control regen strength in lieu of gears, physical controls for the important stuff etc.). Alas it was outside my defined size limits, ugly and an SUV (Regulars will know I hate SUVs with a passion!  ), and the internal space is just embarrassingly poor for something so much bigger than a Yaris. The final nail was the massive price hike which pushed it into the 'Luxury Car Tax' bracket, which it then attracted for a year or two before the government realized their mistake and made a blanket exclusions for EVs (Although I bet that gets revoked again when EV sales increase and they realize how much money they're losing!)

I saw 72 reg Yaris Design  in white two weeks ago. First I spotted the yellow lines along the tyres treads then came close behind and looked  at the plate 72 hurray. , lady driver , commuter 👍🛣

Ive omly seen 2 since the 1st Sept. A Peugeot estate on the M6 and yesterday a nice low riding motorbike. When/if I collect mine in the next couple of weeks it will have my pvt plate on it so no one will kmow - unless Tony HSD is close and sees the tyres! 😀

Got mine on the 1st, done 700 miles so far but admit to not noticing any other 72
