Hi, I'm currently running a St185 celica but unfortunately I don't have the time, space or money to carry on with it.... So I'm looking for a Starlet GT Turbo, seemed like a fairly economical option with (apparently) bags of tuning potential.

Just wnated some advice on where to find a good one (any importers people have had a lot of success with or if anyone knows of one (a good one that is) that's up for sale.

Also any things I should be looking out for that are out of the ordinary?

Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the club, unfortunately i don't know much about the GT turbo, but they seem a lot of fun to me. I hope someone else on here will fill you up with the info sometime.

Cheers

Anyone got any info on power gains possible from a standard turbo unit?

i think the power ceiling for the standard ct9 is somewhere around 160bhp....

but there is a shed load of tuning products for the engine to make it easily reach the 200bhp mark.. chich should be comfortable for every day driving

Excellent! sounds like I may have made a good choice of car then, I'm hoping to get a similar 0-60 time from one of these to my GT4 if poss. I'm hoping to surprise people who know me from the GT4OC :D

Still, I've got to buy one first!

Anyone know of any others up for sale at the moment?

it should be easy as penuts to make your new gt turbo quicker than a gt4

theres this australian starlet that can crack a 12.9 pass using stock injectors and ecu with a tdo4 turbo making 185 bhp.

he does have an lsd and a rear arb tho

wich will make a difference

check out the video and thred

right click and save.

here is the thred

DRAG COMBAT, ****12.9****

shows how MEGA potent these cars can be with the right mods.

I dont know how to contact you so this is my reply

have a Met Black 94 mr reg that is about to go up for sale.

Totally standard except dump valve and is in awsome condition inside and out considering the age!!!

73,000miles and I have owned it for 5 years and am the only British owner.

I love this car but something larger is coming my way!! ( maybe rx7 or Supra!)

It is fully loaded as standard with:

rear tints

twin headlamp

GT body kit ( factory fitted )

Fogs

Stainless Exhaust

AC and Climate control

Two stage adjustable boost button

Limited Slip Diff

I could go on!

etc etc......

No problems with the car whatsoever!!

Gearbox, Engine and turbo are absolutely mint, no smoke or burning of oil.

I have religiously changed oil and filter every 5,000 miles and cam belt at 58k. ( as i am a mechanic by trade )

Awesome car with a sub 7 second 0-60mph time!!

£3500 ono

Let me know if anyone is interested.
