Climate control problem

Hello! When I try to change to temperature on the right hand (auto, not dual dial) the temperature jumps around; then reverts to LO.. this doesn’t happen on the DUAL dial, and when the car is warmed up, the problem goes away… any suggestions before I freeze to death this winter?https://streamable.com/g9m9o5

Unfortunately the potentiometer behind the knob has failed, unless you are an electrical wizard and can source and replace the switch you will need a new/replacement control panel

You can fix this by removing the climate control unit, opening it up, and cleaning the contacts under the knobs.  There is no potentiometer here.  I had the exact same problem with mine.
