Slightly bent sills

Hi to everyone on this fantastic forum.

A couple of days ago I had some new tyres fitted to our IQ, which I must say, the family and I have really become fond of, I digress...when the tyre fitters jacked the car up with their trolley jack, according to the owners manual, they should not have placed it under the sill but in a specific location.

Yesterday I decided to take a look underneath just to make sure everything was ok, just in case it needed to quick spray of stone chip underseal. The one thing I noticed is the sill lip close to where the scissor jack location point is, is slightly bent.

I have seen this before on my RAV4. With the RAV4, I slightly teased the bent sill lip back to it's correct shape with an adjustable wrench. Now the RAV4 had drain pipes running through it's sills, does anyone know if the IQ has a similar setup?

I'm worried if I try to straighten the sill lip to it's original shape, I might accidentally block a vertical drain pipe.

Cheers to you all.

Paul.

The drains are a fairly ubiquitous design, and they are there on the iQ too. You can take a thin screwdriver to clear the holes.

Good choice on the iQ. It is such a cool car. Very easy to fall in love with. 😍
