IQ Smart Entry - Turned off?

With a spate of car thefts locally - and I know an IQ might(?!) be less desirable?

I emailed my local Toyota Dealer last week, regarding, according to the manual, the permanent switching off of the Smart Entry feature.

I don't use it or need it particularly.

According to the manual it can be done. I asked for confirmation that it can be and price. They have yet to reply.

Has anyone here considered it at all?

Does the car have the feature, or do you press the fob to unlock the car ?

It has both...

I can walk up and touch the door handle or I can press the unlock button on the key fob.

You can turn it on/off with techstream
