12 volt adaptor problem

Morning all, I have a 2019 Corolla Hybrid. Over the weekend i used my air compressor plugged into the 12v adaptor. When i came to remove the adaptor it was stuck fast, (a common problem I understand) i used a little force and the casing fell to pieces, my son (who is an electician but not an auto electician) managed to get all of it out apart from the tip of the adaptor which is stuck fast! My question is, is it safe to leave like this or should i pull the fuse? Any advice would be welcome, thanks.

You have to remove the peace out of the socket while the car is off and before you try to use another accessory. If the socket shorten it will blow the fuse and then you will need to replace that too. Just do the safe way 👍
