Hi,

As Toyota don't sell them, I've been looking around for an outdoor car cover. Have any Corolla ST owners bought an outdoor cover they'd recommend?

Thanks,

Vince.

I would always think twice before putting any kind of car cover on a car. Regardless of how luxuriously lined they are on the inside, they are constantly rubbing against your paintwork in the wind.

With that said, Halfords' All Season car covers are good. They are thick, durable, pretty water tight, and you can tighten them down firmly around the car to reduce rubbing. We've got one that has been outside on a car for about 18 months now and it is still water tight and looks good.

I've got a Halfords one for my Golf when it's outside and would recommend it 👍

Thanks P and Iain.
I'll have a look at Halfords. The alternative is clearing out the garage 🙂

If you put a cover on a car that hasn’t just been cleaned, it will do more harm than good. A garage on the other hand - will keep it dryer, warmer & the UV rays from the sun off the paint & protect the finish. I have always used my garage for the car - buy a garden shed for things to store, and put the car in the garage

I totally agree, Graeme. Unfortunately, the garden shed would need to be the size of a garage 😞

I always thought garages were for storing low value items like unused push bikes with flat tyres, broken tumble dryers, and general junk ,while a twenty odd grand car sits outside in the weather.

Well, my friends with garages do this anyway.
