Fitting Panasonic Head Unit - Help!

Just been trying to fit a new Panasonic CD Head unit.

Previous owner has fitted a Blaupunkt and wired it all fine so I thought that all I would need to do would be connect the Panasonic adapter to the iso plug and away it would go....

The power button lights up red but when i turn it on the display lights up then flicks off and never fully turns on.

Tried switching back to the Blaupunkt and it worked fine. Any ideas what is happening?

Hmm, first thing I'd do is check the earth, cont and switched power are all connected properly (black, yellow and red in the ISO connector). I've just fitted a Kenwood CD in mine in place of the old double DIN, and the earth in the Toyota loom wasn't good enough so I had to add one direct to the chassis. It's also worth checking whether the player is trying to earth through the aerial...
