Yaris Mk3 (2014) Heater control knobs lighting

I had a light out on one of the three heater control knobs.

Advice on here was they just clip into place.

This is somewhat true but only once you have removed a bit of other plastic trim.

The plastic which the three heater control knobs lighting are fitted to is held in place by 7 push fit clips and a section of plastic behind the dash facia.  The dash facia is held in place by 10 push filt clips and a small section is behind the speedo surround.

So the process to get to the heater knobs is to pop off the speedo surround, then the dash facia but no need to disturb the radio, then pull straight out of the dash the heater control knobs surround.  Be careful to pull out straight as the dial workings behind the plastic surround are easily seperated from their moulding (as was the case for me) but they went back together well.

Remove the cable operated section and behind that you should see a T3 bulb.

Refitting is the reverse.
