Years ago my one neighbour bought a new Metro. One dark evening when they were garaging the car, they noticed the front wheelarch was flashing in time with the indicator.

The flasher repeater wiring was there including the bulbs. So they bought the actual light fittings, push fitted them into the front wings, and put the bulbholders into the rear of the fittings.

Working flasher repeaters !!

I can honestly say I haven't ever used a seat pocket in any car I have owned, how much stuff do members carry inside their cars.

Slightly off topic - It always grinds my gears when car reviewers moan that they cannot get a big bottle of water in a door pocket it's really not something more than 1% of drivers would consider when buying a car.

The Citroen AX I bought in 1989 did have the big bottle of water storage in the door pocket.

Unfortunately though if I remember, it was for a 1.5 litre bottle, not the 2 litre bottle commonly found in UK.

This was easily overcome by either driving to France and buying 1.5 litre bottles,or drinking a large amount of water before a long journey.

Volvic was the one to buy to fit in the pocket then.
