In the UK so far it seems to be the ability to pay from a single account rather than needing a separate card or account per charge network (not all charge points take contactless cards yet).
In the USA they get free charging not sure about other countries.

Problem is there are plenty of other options for this type of service such as zap-maps, Bonnet, plugsurfing. So the main differentiator is integration with the car, but it also depends on how many networks Toyota have signed up. Nothing worst than being forced to drive 20 miles out your way to find out there is a charger round the corner when you check zap-maps.

I can now search the Toyota charging network through the app, guessing you could too now.

Yep. Just tested out to check my local chargers are on and that some of my favourite long trip ones are. So far so good. I haven’t activated the service yet as I don’t want to run down the trial period.

0-100? Has anyone seen a speed test for the 4 wheel drive. Is 6.9 seconds accurate or is it faster?

Don't know if you've noticed though that all car wow acceleration tests are measured 0-60 whereas manufacturers quote 0-62 (0-100kmh) except for Tesla who quote 0-60

Well Tesla have their own... unique... way of measuring 0-60*

I'm the only one who looks at this RAV4 PHEV picture and thinks "put a 71kWh Battery in"?!

A fully electric RAV4 would've sold hotter than hot cakes in the desert!

I would say no. I agree both cars has some exterior similarities but bz4x is a definitely a different class car. Bz4x: New platform+new entertainment system+new interior design, equipment and tech.

Do hot cakes sell particularly well in the desert?

But 'no' the RAV4 platform wouldn't deal very well with a 71.4kWh Battery onboard, and taking out the hybrid power unit would cripple its 500 mile range on a single fill. Not a good idea at all ... 😉

OK, the RAV4.5 and bZ4X are 'similar' sizes, but entirely different propositions.

That’s what Volvo did with the xc40. But they’re still building a new EV platform to get all the benefits.
Apparently having a flat rear floor is expected in an EV and if you use an ICE platform you still get the transmission tunnel.

Not just that. One of the biggest advantages of a dedicated EV platform vs shared is (apart from a flat floor) the extended wheel base due to no longer needing a drive train. The interior space, specifically in the back puts the BZ4x into a completely different class vs the Rav4 while being almost the same exterior size.

State of art technology and Japanese discipline. I really appreciate the work behind of the reliability of this car now.

I took below screenshot. Crown is produced and next car is bZ4X. They  produce these two cars in a mixed plan. Thats something really hard to manage. You have to be just in time when you consider thousands of parts and very long assembly line.
