Could very well be ... it needs to be formatted FAT32. A 32GB, FAT32 formatted, USB drive works for me - I suspect that it is type 1 but I doubt that is the issue  ... 😉

I think that you’d be better off with a smaller USB.

I’ve had issues unpacking the downloaded file, using an iMac, with either the `safari browser’ or Apple default unpacker. 
As Philip says the formatting is pretty important.

I had issues with a 64gb on my Corolla, a 32gb pre-formatted stick worked perfectly
