Speakers Being Done

After I bought my car I realised there was no sound coming through the Speakers, took it back to the garage and they said the CD player was fine but the Speakers needed separate amps, so gotta take it in today to get it done. They reckon it could take a good couple of hours. Looking forward to being able to listen to some tunes, it looks like a good player :bye:

What Stereo is it that you have? I've spent a few years dabbling in car audio, n I haven't ever come across a stereo that NEEDS seperate amps to power its Speakers...

erm the Speakers dont need seperate amps thats just a con to make you spend more money all it requires is a simple wire bypass from Speakers straight to cdplayer.

The only thing that requires an amp are subwoofers n sub boxes!

Well, I'm quite confused now. The Speakers have been wired up but the CD player is the problem apparently. They went to put a CD in and it wouldn't take it, the radio worked but no sound was coming through. They're saying I've gotta wait til they receive another batch of CD players from Japan then they'll put that in for me free of charge. Grrr.

well on our mr2 the original wiring went black and stopped the Speakers from working so i fitted new wires and connected them to a new amp. im not using any of the existing toyota wiring now to run the stereo
