The Toyota story so far...

Always a car fan from a child but never thought much about Toyota's until I started selling them in 1999. Couldn't believe the amount of repeat customers who raved about them. The job wasn't for me so after two years I left but by that time I was bitten by the Toyota bug. A 1996 Corolla 3 door SE came first, followed by a 2001 Avensis 2.0 5 door SR, followed by a 2005 Corolla T Sport 3 door. Then I shamefully meandered to other brands for a few years before getting a 2006 Celica GT and now a 2021 Corolla 2.0 GR Sport. I'm definitely back on the right track! Glad to be here!

Great catalogue of Toyotas. So, which one did you enjoy most?

Don't know to be honest. They've all been great for different reasons, but I kept the T Sport the longest so maybe that says everthing!

Hiya, great collection, I also is a massive fan of Toyota's, I've had other brands, well they didn't last, I had a 1994 1.3 sportif corolla, the radiator was massive, same size of my mk4 supra

I am not surprised you say that 🙂 The E12 got many things right. It was probably more comfortable than sporty, but you could have some serious fun. I only wish they'd put the VVTi switch over on the 2zz at a lower rpm so it wasn't quite as pronounced. Anyway, welcome to the club!

The Corolla T-Sports were a riot! I never understood why they didn't put that engine in any other cars, like e.g. the Celica. That era of Corollas were really nice cars; Very high quality interior, very comfortable, super solid-feeling. The T-Sport was a lot of fun but very very thirsty!!

We used to have a lot of CTS owners in the forum, and it was always fun watching their rivalry with the Honda Civic Type R's

Ah, but they did! Just that. The 7th gen Celica T-Sport came with the 2zz. They never put the super charged version in the Celica though.
