Looks like a scam, but the detail on this letter are correct, many theories on Reddit inc Russians trying to get media attention, with people turning up on mass at a recruitment office

Defo a scam. Even Truss wouldn't allow something like this to be sent out

It is a bit strange,in the sense that scams usually have a financial benefit for the scammer.

Can't see any angle on this one, unless it is someone who thinks it's fun to try and wind random people up.

I suppose it's possible that these letters,if there are many being sent out, will be followed up by a demand for a "registration" fee of some kind,or phishing for bank details.

No doubt when you phone they will probably say you can exempt yourself by buying out with a fee of £. However if you do so you must not tell anyone or you will be re-drafted or inprisoned.
