MyT Scheduled Cabin Temp/Defrost

Does anyone know - when you schedule the car to defrost itself of warm up to a set temperature at say 7:00am, how long does it maintain the temperature/stay defrosted?

It's a first world problem I know, but I don't want it getting chilly again if I don't get out there in time!

It will depend on how cold it is during the defrost and waiting for the drivers to turn up and just how long the time difference is. I usually just use the MyT app around 20mins before I’m due to go out. That has worked really for me.

Same as Ernie (and I have used it the past few days - below freezing yesterday). As soon as it stops (after 20 minutes) the interior temperature will decay in proportion to the outside temperature.

Really, to maximise its effectiveness you should be able to use the car at that point otherwise you are wasting energy.

So set it to commence at 6:40 am for a 7:00 am departure. More than makes up for the lack of a heated front screen.

Agree William, I've found that even when its solid ice outside the front screen is clear. I do select the screen option in the MyT app which seems to have the effect of directing warm air onto the screen.

They are heated same switch as puts on the heated rear window? Switch 'G'.

Wrong image but it's just flipped (US version) it's still the same button as the heated rear widow.

And they clear the mirrors very quickly. 🙂
