Different part numbers for wing mirror indicator lamp unit - help needed.

Hello,

Is there anyone here perhaps with some inside/dealer knowledge?

I need a new O/S drivers-side wing mirror indicator lamp unit - mine has failed (broken lens/corrosion) and it’ll be an MOT failure as no visible side-repeater.I have found 2 possible part numbers, 8173052110 & 8173002200.  Both visually/ physically look identical, but one is half the price of the other on the ‘official’ (?) Toyota UK eBay store. (£45 versus £94)

Can anyone tell me if the parts are interchangeable? (I haven’t dismantled the  wing mirror yet, to see what part-no is presently fitted)

I've no insider/dealer knowledge but 81730-52110 is for yaris model only.

81730-02200 is for corolla and yaris.

This is just a wild guess, and I'm not sure this helps you much : is the expensive one an LED unit, and the cheaper one using a regular bulb?

Hardly a wild guess.......just quoting information gathered from extremely useful site that Richard and others could use in the future.

This is correct, you can get aftermarket ones for half the cost of oem*

a lot of online sites only cover up to 2018 so will list the auris/corolla and Not the E210 corolla

going off the details in this thread and assuming it's a new shape, corolla

yes, I also thought at first the cheaper one might be a filament bulb (not the case).

Mr Beeblebrox, that site is very helpful - thanks.  Though I’m now more concerned as I ordered the cheaper one as Toyota listed it as “Genuine Toyota Corolla O/S RH Wing Mirror Indicator Complete 2019- 8173052110” with identical photos to the more expensive other model.  We shall see I guess…
