Mk1 Yaris ULEZ advice

Why is the 1999 and 2000 1.0 mk1 yaris not ulez compliant but the 2001 model is! Please help thanks and let me know if can be made exempt.

It's the tax class as of the start of 51 reg (sept 2001) tax rates are base on emissions before that it was based on engine size, up to 1549cc and over 1549cc

Also in 2001 bought in the Euro 3 standard

I think you can submit a thing to TfL, similar to import cars, to get it exempt but whether they'll agree to it is another thing!

2000 Yaris is still in the old banger status, some cars just don't make it to a Classic status

Prius and jap imports have the same problems, with 99.9% of cars before late 2001 are not exempt
