I noticed when the sun shines on the dashboard that there is a light for traction control being off, so when switched off it lights up….or supposed to maybe?

I noticed that when I turn my traction control off, the light doesn’t turn on, is this normal?

Cheers

Does it illuminate when you first turn on the ignition? (the bulb-test phase). If you hold the button in for a few seconds it will turn off the TC and VSC -  a warning message pops up and turns both warning lights on.

Try holding the button longer.

The notice on the screen shows traction control is turned off

Have a look at the Driver Support Systems section of the manual (page 382 in my version). The lights doesn't seem to come on with a short push, just a message on the display. A much longer push also turns off the VSC and it does then illuminate. I have no idea why the "TRC off" light doesn't come on for a short press.
