China launch - smaller battery model!

The bZ4X has finally been launched in China, along with the bZ3 saloon. 

What is interesting is that the car is available with a 50.3 kWh (usable) Battery along with the current 71 kWh Battery. 

The 50 kWh model keeps the 150kW motor (200hp) of the bigger Battery pack and has a claimed range of 400km / 250m (Chinese testing).

It's always dangerous to compare prices, but the lowest spec model comes in at around £25,000 with that battery!!

The BZ4X is produced in China which will bring prices down for that market. The BZ3, which is for China only, has been developed with Toyota and BYD Auto through their Joint Venture.

Of course not the first Toyota BEVs in the Chinese market. Two joint ventures with GAC and FAW produced two Battery electric versions of the C-HR.
