Handbrake light staying on just very faint.looked at switch ok.unpluged wire stays on just.any ideas.

Handbrake light often doubles up as the brake fluid low light.  Check your fluid level.

Its possible its picking up a small discharge from other components you can spray it with a electric sealant to keep the damp out.

Could the light also double up (or treble up I suppose?) as a brake pad worn inducator?
