Thinking of buying the Disklok

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of buying the disklok for my ch-r and i was wondering if anyone else has bought one for their ch-r, it's a uk company so i assume most of you guys have heard of them. If so then what has your experience been like? Also what size did you choose? I'm guessing it should be a bit bigger than the steering wheel so that it can't be steered while the device is on.

Hi George,

This is info from the site it may help if you haven't seen it before.

It is important to select the correct size for your vehicle in order for the Disklok to offer its full protection. Vehicle manufacturers often produce different sized steering wheels across their range and can periodically change them from year to year therefore we advise you to measure your wheel before purchase. The correct measurement should be taken across the centre line of the wheel from outside edge to outside edge.

Wheel Diamter

Sizing parameters:

Small fits 35-38.9cm

Medium fits 39-41.5cm

Large fits 41.5-44cm

I looked into the options available when i bought my car and decided that the disclock that covers the whole steering wheel was firstly too bulky to use and store and also felt that it would probably over time damage the leather covering of my steering wheel. After much research on quality, ease of use and effectiveness i opted for the steering wheel lock manufactured by WWW.MILENCO.COM. I had the optional rubber attachments to stop any marks being left on the steering wheel where the lock rests. I've been very impressed with it as it is very easy to fit, is very well made and can be stored easily. Milenco was not a name i had heard of but they are very well known for motorhome and caravan security devices apparently.
