Reviews keep saying that you can park the car remotely with an app. But I read a note from Toyota that this won't be possible in the UK. What's the truth?

The feature was removed due to insurance / liability reasons.

UK models come with automatic parking triggered by a button in the car. The app feature is not available. Possibility is it’s due to driving legislation in the UK.
It’s unclear if the car is capable of doing it and it’s just turned off, allowing for a future over the air update to turn it on or if the capability has been permanently removed.

I think it's actually illegal in this country as cars are not allowed to be 'on' in a driveable state and left unattended.

It's one of the reasons Tesla got in trouble with their beckon party trick, as the car isn't allowed to drive itself with nobody 'driving' it.

I think they got around it by adding a disclaimer that it's only to be used on private property, but certainly on a public road it's not allowed by law!

Nice read. Enjoy your new ev 👌

For reverse beep if it’s the one you hear inside similar to Prius and auris hybrids with electric gear shift you most likely can turn this off via obd 2 port with suitable adapter ( Carista, Obd Link lx) 👍

I drove Subaru Solterra today and quite enjoyed it. When I compare it with Nissan Ariya (for me, the closest competitor to the bZ4X) ; 1) Driving was much more comfortable than Nissan 2) Nissan Ariya sound insulation is better than Solterra/bz4x 3) Nissan Ariya range is range is better 4) Ariya has better interior quality and design 5) Warranty Toyota comes with 10 years, Subaru comes with 6 years for car/8 years for Battery and Nissan comes with 3 years.

When I consider using car for long term, I would definitely but Toyota/Subaru.

Extra note: Subaru dealer mentioned that AWD vehicles' tires should be rotated and this is included into annual service. I am not sure if this is included in Toyotas annual service.

Hhhm from some of the early material I saw about Car Play it was suggested that the map would still display as Toyota had implemented the Car Play second screen option thing. That’s a shame.

I took delivery of my bZ4X Vision AWD yesterday, and I can confirm that the instrument cluster does show route guidance while using Apple Maps navigation through CarPlay.

Congratulations!!! Great news. So they deliver on Saturdays too.

We have 3 vision trim delivered out of 10. Would you mind taking a minute to updating pool please?

I already updated it before I posted to the forum, so it should reflect my delivery already!

Thanks for setting it up, by the way. It’s very informative!

Apparently I was my dealer’s first delivery/handover of a bZ4X.

Is there any advantage to using the built in navigation instead of using Apple Maps?
