That goes for most calibration/setup that you have the doors closed and handbrake applied

seat belt on, is a new one

Still same my only other option is to drive it and see if that helps

A few pages back i did say to you, you needed to drive it, that is part of the self test system for the ABS what i assume you had done already

Posted

I drove it10 mph before but clearly its not enough I will fit headlights tomorrow and take it for a 10 min drive .... if this works I'm going to give u a big drink

UPDATE all lights all fault codes gone 28 mph reset the system

Posted

Only thing is I can't hear the brake booster at all and no fault codes recorded for it .. and when I do calibration lights blink but for how long as they keep on blinking until I turn ignition off and on again but no faults recorded

Posted

zero point calibration just follow the on-screen prompts once it's done it tells you what to do, do the brakes work as they should, not 100% but the systems don't use a servo like previous gen hybrids

Posted

No fault codes tho and no warning lights on dash board door closed seat belt on rest memory then ignition off then on again hand brake down and click next abs and skid lights flash and they just flash and flash I left it even for 5 mins car breaks fine just don't hear the brake boodter when pumping the brake pedal like my other hybrids

Ok so I'm satisfied that if there was a malfunction it would be stored .. the new brake design just can't be heard like my prius or chr ..

This has been the best topic that I’ve followed in the owners forum so far.  I have no electrical knowledge or experience but I really enjoyed the interaction between Abs and Bob.  It’s great that the problems have been resolved and Abs now has a fault free car.  Great advice and patience from Bob as well.

Bouncing ideas of others always helps, there is a lot more tech in these newer cars, things are getting more complex, you're stuffed without dealer level tools

Press and hold the P brake button down for 30 seconds it should release, the car needs to be driven to charge the ABS charge capacitor (black box under the passenger seat)

If the parking brake will not release, disconnect the motors you can then apply 12v to the motor to wind them in/out

swap polarity to change direction

if the airbag or pretensions have fired, you need to get the SRS cleared/replaced

I assume that the car goes into ready mode
