Intermittent Check Brake system Check ABS system Check VSC System while braking

I have a 2007 Toyota RAV4, and it now gives intermittently Check Brake system, Check ABS and Check VSC in the dashboard.
This fault does not always occur and does reset itself and disappears after turning off and on again.
The fault occurs while applying the brakes or slowing down.

Warning on the dashboard:

Check Brake System
Check ABS System
Check VSC System

I have utilized the paperclip method on the OBD2 scan port and it gives the following codes on the dashboard.

VSC 43
ABS 49

What is now the appropriate course of action?

43 is ABS unit malfunction

49 is Brake light switch fault

I take it all brake lights work, if you have a tow-bar check the socket for corrosion

so an intermittent brake light switch, more than likely just worn out, stick your head under the dash and see what switch you have
