Engine oil for Toyota Corolla 1.4D4D - 2004y.

Which engine oil BRAND do you recommend for this car? I’m using LIQUI MOLY 5W-40. Should I keep it or change it?

Toyota don't specify a brand - so go with whichever you're happy with and which is within your budget.

Even Liquid Molys site says use their 5W -30 oil  for a 2004 1.4 D  as does the Comma site which we have used for many years and still never need to top up between yearly oil changes.

To say LM is about twice the price of many oils, are you getting a  higher mpg return, we get up to 42mpg in out 1.6 petrol.
