Hi guys I have a 2007 d4d manual in low revs usually second gear there's a rumble from underneath, any idea is it a common thing. Bit like baffles in the exhaust, if there's any in there lol. Cheers

Did the 2007 models have a dual mass flywheel? If so that'd be the first thing I'd investigate, esp. if it's more common at low revs under higher load and has never been changed.

Otherwise, not enough to go on...

This could be so many things. Engine and transmission mounts, clutch and particularly dual mass fly wheel if the car has one. Exhaust mounts, exhaust boxes ( silencers). Wheel bearings, transmission and differential bearings, tyres especially if they are old and cheap makes. Suspension bushes. If you are checking by yourself you can make a note of all that possible points and check each one and keep going until you find the problem. For engine and transmission mounts best to have someone to change gears and try to move the car while hand brake is engaged, if excessive movement is present you may have broken or deteriorated mounts. 👍

yeah was a long shot tbh vie had the car 2 years in may and its always been there , and vie done over 15000miles in it now. its a low rumble but usually in 2 second gear and not while depressing clutch . would it drive badly if it was the dual mass fly wheel? that sounds expensive if that's the case? Thanks for the reply's btw i really appreciate you all taking the time to respond
