Retrofit footwell lights

I notice Toyota UK are offering retrofit footwell lights for the 2019 + Corolla range. (Approx £145).

Q1. Is it fairly easy for a novice to fit this kit -or does it need Toyota to fit it?

Q2. If anyone has had this retro fitted by a Toyota garage, any idea on price?

Same kit fits the C-HR.

I would suggest reading the fitting instructions first as there comprehensive before you decide to dive in & fit them.

Also pay attention to the page with the drilling templates on when you print it out!

HERE are the install instructions Toyota give 2.1 hours to install and national accessory installation rate is £60 p/h

I'd be tempted by a door puddle light kit. The GT86 even has them.

Very handy for not standing in stuff in the dark.

 

On a similarly related theme, does anyone know of a welcome light module so the exterior lights come on when you unlock it?

Even a basic Ford Fiesta has puddle lights if you option parking sensors.  Ford generally bundle them with folding mirrors.

In the industry we used to call them dog s—t lights.  Now that’s something you really want to avoid treading in….
