Hi all

Last week during a ride the TMPS light on dashboard start blinking, I stopped and check the pressure of the 4 tyres ( don't have spare tyre) and the pressure was ok, but the light continue to blink, I search on web and it says that might be the Battery of the sensor or it might be the sensor itself that have failed.
Does anyone had this kind of problem, and if this is the problem where is sensor and the Battery located ?  Thank you.

The sensor and Battery are built into the tyre inflation valve (TPMS valve) - so one on each wheel ...

The Battery is supposed to have a life of around 5 years.

5 years would be a minimum; 10 years us the usual expected life of a TPMS sensor.

It's just a bit scummy that they made the Battery so hard to replace, as that's the only thing that goes on it!

It's soldered in and covered with 'potting' compound so it's a massive PITA to dig out and replace. But then Toyota charge what, £80 for a single new one?? so maybe it's worth the hassle digging all the potting compound out...!
