Does anyone know what the auto button is actually for??? I’ve never used it, will it clear my steamed up windows?? 🤨. It’s a C-HR Dynamuc 2020 model.

Climate control?

Best to use the option to direct air to your windscreen ( usually Screen and feet ).

Also use AC if you need to...

Check the cabin Pollen Filter has been changed or is not old ...

It's the automatic climate control.

Set your cabin temperature & press auto, let the system look after itself.

Make sure the air recirculation function is switched off.

The front windscreen button activates a rapid demisting program for helping to clear the front windows.

I always use auto function on my cars, set the temperature you like and leave it, as forkinabout says don't use the recirculating button as you will steam up👍

By default the auto function is to maintain fan speed, temperature and use of ac.
You can perfectly live without using it but you need to do your own personal settings. I never use this auto function as I don’t like to have ac on when not necessary, only drains the hybrid Battery and creates more moisture in the cabin than help to reduce it.
Even if the auto function is off your climate control still works automatically to maintain cabin temperature as set by yourself. Also sucking air is automatic and depending on outside temperature, interior temperature settings and ac on or off.  You can still chose to be recirculating or from outside. Basically these climate controls are automatic by default. This auto button only works for speed fan changes and ac on and off , for example if you set fan speed 2 and ac off it will stay on that speed all the time and ac will not switch on by itself, however the temperature that is blowing will change accordingly.

I always leave mine on auto, it keeps it to your chosen temperature, adjusts the fan speed and varies the air distribution as required throughout the car.

All you need to do is adjust the temperature as to your liking.

I leave my ac on all the time 👍
