I forgot to add it translates as please put the brake key to the power switch. What is the brake key? The main fob?

I would suggest this means put your foot on the brake as you press the ignition button. If it doesn't work, place the key fob near the ignition button whilst your foot is on the brake. If this works, then your key fob Battery needs replacing. Either way, your foot needs to be on the brake to start.

Thank you for your reply. Toyota replaced the fob Battery two days ago so can't understand it. I was just worried it was the brakes!

Ah, I wonder if it needs to re-learn the fob - Sometimes happens when the fob's coin cell Battery gets changed. The backup immobilizer transponder loop is in the ignition switch (key) or start button (keyless), which is why you have to hold the fob up there when you're starting it. Hopefully it will resync with the fob and go back to working as it did before.

If you keep having to do that tho', take it back to the Toyota dealer who changed it as they may have buggered something up, as it should just work the way it did before.
