Heater seat pad, are they any good?

This is the first time I'm consider getting these - (12v plug type) would like to know anyone got any experience or recommendation. Been reading some reviews that they don't last all that long, perhaps the cheaper made version.

Depending how the pads you're looking at are held in place, the one drawback may be whether they could interfere with the side airbag (seat mounted) deploying.

I'm aware not to get the one which covers the sides of the seat, so those with straps around the head rest and bottom of the seats.
