Toyota Charging Network Sign up problem

Recommended Posts

Posted

I’ve been trying to activate my Toyota Charging Network since Saturday.
It starts ok in the App but when I get redirected to the website to complete sign up i just get dropped at the SSO page and nothing happens.
Anybody been able to sign up recently or anyone have access and it’s stopped working?

I’ve emailed the support desk but no response so far.

I signed up last Thursday, the day I picked up my car. They will be sending me a card in the post, apparently.

Just going through the sign in process. Thanks

Foolishly,  I was assuming that Toyota would contact us about access to their charging network and the free three year AA membership. On the other hand most communication from them has been initiated by members, so no real surprises. Has anyone received the AA membership info?

Love the car but disappointing handover considering the wait. Also, trying to optimise the heating as it knocks the range down a lot and I can't convince the other half to wear a coat in the car.

Back to trying to signup for network access

BTW I find the forum is very helpful.

Also not heard anything about that, will chase next week.

I had 6 months left on my Toyota Roadside Assistance. After I had the bZ4X, I contacted them to extend and they gave me an extra 3 years (part of the bZ4X deal) and an extra 6 months for the unused part of the old contract. Takes me through to 2026, so seems a good deal.

I too was expecting a roadside assistance pack to come through the post by now and haven't heard or received anything

Emailed Toyota over the weekend, their response below.

I have double checked and can confirm we no longer provide any physical documentation in the post regarding Toyota Roadside Assistance. Instead, Toyota Centres are asked to confirm the 12 month entitlement from new and refer customers to the sticker located in the top left-hand side of your windscreen.

How can I check if my order qualifies for this 3-year roadside assistance? I ordered before the recall.

Was thinking that myself and the only thing I can think of is to phone Toyota breakdown and ask the renewal date. They look you up via registration number.

Thinking I should phone anyway, rather that find out there is a problem when I need them.

Is your finance pcp or hire purchase? I guess 3 year Roadside Assistance was coming with hire purchase, if I am not mistaken.

I just phoned Toyota Roadside Assistance 0344 701 6201. They will check your reg and confirm any offers. They did not send me any documentation but said that the old contact card was still valid. They seem to have gone entirely online so no paper.

Mystery is solved. Three years of AA Roadside Assistance is coming standard with your bz4x order 👍 really good benefit.

Anyone who was lucky enough to take delivery early on, and doesn't want to pay £5 per month for the Toyota charging network, then don't forget to cancel.

It ceases at the end of the month following the one in which you make a cancellation request.

I put a cancellation request in last month, and it ends at the end of this month. I could've left it another month before doing it, but i wanted to make sure i didn't forget.

Thank you for reminding! Yes, I recently activated and will cancel Toyota smart charging network subscription before it charges me. I don't wanna pay!

Mine kept saying that, in all the time I've been signed up, it wouldn't show in the app that i was, even though if i clicked through to the dcs website it said it was activated

Yours is hire, isn't it? Do you own it or Toyota?

Ok I found it. I guess 3 years AA Roadside assistance is already included into our oders I guess.

"Charging and roadside assistance

Making BEV ownership as stress-free as possible, Toyota is providing all new bZ4X customers with a complimentary package of benefits to cover their charging needs, plus roadside assistance.

This includes a British Gas Centrica EV Home Charger with standard installation and six months’ access to the Toyota Public Charging Network – comprising more than 12,000 charging points, accessible through the MyToyota app.

Three years’ AA roadside assistance is also provided, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in the UK and across 44 European countries. "
