Toyota Yaris - New car questions

Hello

I have a new Toyota Yaris Excel model with tech pack on order and I have a few questions regarding the Excel model.

I would like to find out is what version of Safety Sense comes with the model, is it version 2.0 or 2.5?

I saw a UK press release that referred to version 2.5 but the brochure I was sent indicates it is version 2.0.

In regards to the Toyota Connect system that is found on the Excel model, I assume having the tech pack doesn’t downgrade the Toyota Connect system back to the Toyota Touch with Go 2 and are updates to the system done OTA or do you have to take the car to the dealer?

Finally with the EV only mode, is their a range limit with how far you can go on that mode and what speed are you limited to before the petrol engine kicks in?

Thanks

Do you mean Yaris or Yaris Cross?

In the Cross, MY21, there is a choice between the Smart Connect, new Satnav, larger display or (for extra money) the City Pack that indeed has the Touch 2 Go.  I believe Smart Connect updates are done OTA and have seen mobile camera sites appear and a popup asking if the site is still valid.  OTA seems to be working.

As for EV range question, it has no specific pure EV range.  In certain conditions you might get one mile on a flat road.

On the other hand on a typical journey from a few miles or more you might expect EV for 50% of the time and 40% of the distance.  This represents the times when the petrol motor is not required such as coasting at speed and down hill or coasting up hill.

Sense is basically TSS2 however it was given 2.5 moniker as it includes extras over Corolla, C-HR with TSS2

No tech pack does not downgrade the Toyota connect

EV button function is limited by both range <1mile & speed <30mph, under normal driving the car is capable of in excess on 70mph is EV

Thanks for replying, I meant the Yaris and not the Yaris Cross.

if updates are done OTA then then that is great as it will save trips to the dealer if they had to do the updates themselves.
