Reversing light not working - not the bulb

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi everyone,

Newbie here. My reversing light on my 2012 IQ has stopped working, I've replaced the bulb but all to no avail. Not even sure which fuse it is but surely something else would have stopped working too if it was the fuse. Any suggestions would be massively appreciated.

Thankyou.

The fuse is labelled Back-up, located in the interior fuse box on the passenger side behind the lower cover - manual or auto ?

Thank you so much for the response, it's manual

It could also be the reversing light switch - which is normally attached to the gearbox.

I've just had a new clutch, could it be something that was accidentally knocked when it was done do you reckon?

Damaged, not reconnected, or just eventually failed due to disturbance. I would go back to wherever fitted the clutch asking them to investigate.

:withstupid: the reverse/neutral switch is on the gearbox it's more than likely been left unplugged or the switch busted as it's a bit tight in the IQ engine bay

The switch is on the rear  top of the box as you look at it with the bonnet open, a cable comes off the switch with a plug on it, this is clipped to the top of the gearbox to the left of the selector cables (on the cable mount)

switch arrowed, Starred is the rough location of where the plug sits
