The thought has just struck me, I’ve been reading a post where a member in a particular part of the country had a item that another member wanted but was too distant in miles from each other to make the trade viable. So I had the idea that if a section of the forum was set up where a fellow member would be making a journey which might facilitate the transaction to a nearer point of where the item could be picked up and no cost to either party involved. Just an idea I’m throwing out there.

It is a shame the people that used to organize meetups don't frequent the forum so much now; There used to be meetups at e.g. japfest when I first joined and apparently there was a stall and flags and everything!

Just one more reason to be a member of TOC, one member obliging two other members without cost to anyone. I know that there could be a limited use, and time could be a factor.

Pistonheads used to do such a thing. I managed to get some wheels delivered nearby from Scotch Corner when the seller refused to pack them. I did donate a couple of bottles of whisky in gratitude.
