Speed Limiter

As I went for a short drive yesterday a speed limiter was activated. "20" was flashing and the car would not go faster than 20. I                                 pulled over and switched off, paused for a moment before starting again whereupon the car would drive normally without a limiter display. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like you may have accidentally activated the speed limiter - stalk on lower righthand side of steering column below the wiper control.

That is certainly how the system worked for me when I tried it out.   The stalk is quite small and in strange place so I guess it would be easy to knock it by accident.
