Nice! That's still not astronomical for a 21 year old car. Best wishes for your next 130k. We'll see you at 260 🙂

They are indeed tenacious.

I have seen a Yaris for sale with 293,000 on it a while ago.

Mine is relatively low mileage at around 54,000.

It would be interesting to see just how far and long a mk1 Yaris could go,if the underside rust can be controlled.

As I have said before, these cars were built properly to start with, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 500,000 miler,if driven every day, and serviced properly.

I think many owners of much newer cars would be happy with such ease of running, and longevity.

If that's a petrol one that's excellent! If it's a diesel one you've got another 100k to go to get into the top 20

But ahh I miss that collimated display - That dash display was so easy on the eyes!! Looked like it's mounted deep inside the engine bay! I wish it was used in more cars... It spoiled me! I couldn't go back to a normal dumb too-close-and-obstructed-by-the-wheel dash after experiencing that.

The HUD in my Mk4 is good 2nd place, but the Mk1 display doesn't get washed out by headlights and The Sun...

Excellent! I'm a firm believer in keeping on top of regular fluid changes and basic maintenance to ensure a good lifetime for cars. You've certainly done that and been rewarded for it😎

Agreed on the dashboard instruments. Latest cars and particularly evs has these stupid idea of mounting two large screens outside any housing, the results are often impossible to read in direct sunlight or as Toyota did blocked the view with the steering wheel in their bz series including the Prius. The best instruments are these mounted deep inside the dash that stops anyone looking into except the driver and also provide great visibility with minimal disruption from the road ahead. Yaris mil 1, Prius gen 3 gen 4, and many more jdm cars. But now the trend of these poking out screens and lately the huge wheels on skinny tyres ., new aygo x looks like retro car from 1930’s often when I look continuing into it. What Toyota has done with it?!
