2012 aygo ice heater blower motor

Recommended Posts

The blower motor began behaving in an erratic manner at about 50k miles & stopped working completely at about 52k miles. Reading various forum contributors, it seems that this is a common problem at anything from 30k miles onwards, which is unfortunate considering the amount of work required to carry out a replacement. This leads one to question the quality of the OEM (valeo) unit & wonder if there is a more reliable / servicable unit available or if the valeo units avaiable now have been suitably upgraded? Can any members please help with advice?

Valeo is usually a PSA oem supplier fans and switch gear are built to a price, usually with lots of revisions, aftermarket stuff is very hit-and-miss, valeo aftermarket is usually better quality than oem Valeo

Do you have manual A/C or Climate ?

Hi Bob, thanks for the info, as regards the A/C, all I know is that the car has it!  I will now check availability & costs from Toyota, Eurospares etc before I dismantle the car!!

If it just has knobs, it's A/C, if it has buttons and a display it has climate (mk 2)

what year, aygo ? mk1 or 2 ?

its a 2012 mk1 with A/C

Oem part with A/C is 87103-0H031
