Has any member changed the diesel fuel filtre on a 2013 model Yaris?  I believe it is situated on the engine bulkhead behind the Battery & would appreciate any input from someone who has actually done the job. My car is approaching 80k miles & am unsure when it was (if ever!!) changed.

It takes a bit of getting at but once you’ve got to it, it’s easy enough.  It will definitely benefit from doing it as they play some bizarre tricks if it gets blocked.  Use a very good quality like genuine Toyota or Denso.  You could use mann or one of the better quality aftermarket filters.

Hi Don, thanks for the info, on mine the filtre appears to be encased in a metal shroud & I wonder if this can be removed to gain access to the filtre & pipework?

I’m not going to be much more help because it’s a while since I did one.  Put it this way, I don’t remember anything particularly difficult about it.   The cowl had to come off and the Battery then it exposed it quite well as I remember.
