Hi all.

I am running out of time. My cat was stolen. I need the part number for the catalytic converter O2 sensor (the second one counting from the engine) and price for the original Toyota part. Also availability. Where to get it? Please advice ASAP. Thanks. (REG EO63 OTW)

How are you running out of time? The car will still work, just use a bit more petrol.

Some people dont use Toyota parts, some do, usually the non Toyota parts don't last that much. Or you can go for 2nd hand original one. They should last 100k miles from new, if i remember correctly.

Go to japan-parts.eu and input your VIN, then find the part, and you will get the correct part number.

Don't ever drive the car without closed exhaust. Your underbody will melt especially the gasoline plastic tank.  Nothing you can do much but I hope you have midgrade Insurance coverage or Comprehensive (in USA) term. It covers stolen catalytic converter and natural disasters but not driving to the ditch or wall.

The stolen catalytic converter is usually does not contain O2 sensors because the O2 sensors are installed in the front catalytic converter (exhaust manifolds) that rarely they can steal it.   The 2nd catalytic converter is located under the car and much easier to be stolen.  Honestly, you can find a dummy pipe that looks like catalytic converter and weld it on without causing any harm to the car nor environment.  The 1st catalytic converter in Auris does 90% of the job removing CO, NOx, etc.

I am very angry watching UK and US video about this epidemy of Catalytic converter theft.  It is all because you guys have broker that collect and ship it back to Africa where most of the raw materials are processed. Especially Rodhium.
